Coffee Branding & Packaging Design
Eye Candy can create or elevate your branding to reach your coffee fans in a very saturated market. We start by honing your USP and crystallizing it in your visual identity, brand guidelines, and packaging.
Cafezia Coffee Rebrand
Cafézia offers a unique version of coffee that has been infused with tasteless herbs, giving it additional qualities of less stomach upset and less “jitters”.
PROBLEM: Such a coffee has a very specific positioning in this category, and requires some degree of education to help consumers understand its benefits.
SOLUTION: We combined a leaf and coffee bean to represent the brand as an icon, putting the USP directly into the logo, and also created a series of packaging with artwork that directly illustrates what you can expect to find within each bag.
Streamliners Coffee
In a small city where the only option is commodity coffee (think seven Tim Hortons for 60,000 people), I was approached to create branding for a new coffee shop featuring directly-traded specialty coffee. Drawing from the deep history of the city with its roots in the train industry, the name Streamliners was chosen, harking back to the fabulous Art Deco period. From the branding, business cards, gift certificates and loyalty cards were easily created. In 2020, we also introduced a new line of coffee blends sold exclusively at the shop. In 2022, Streamliners also launched a cold brew to rave reviews.
Coastal Coffee Rebrand
Owners Ben and Bri began their roasting journey in the back of their green hippie van, and they haven’t stopped. Their enthusiasm and zest for life is apparent in everything they do, and the time had come to elevate their packaging and branding to reflect this and to differentiate themselves in order to penetrate more of the e-commerce and retail market.
This project began with a branding refresh, where it was agreed that the iconic van graphic should be preserved, but strengthened, and with the business name more tightly integrated into the art. The green colour was also updated to a more vibrant shade, in better keeping with the brand’s personality.
Aroma Nica Green Coffee for Retail
Given the rising popularity of home roasting, it only makes sense to serve this space with a well-packaged, thoughtfully curated line of green coffee beans that can be purchased online. So with this idea in mind, I was asked to put together the aesthetic of the Aroma Nica brand. This included packaging selection, branding, website, and informational cards.
